Today’s Topic: The 8 Senses ✨

Can you list them all? Which are strongest for you? Which do you struggle to regulate?

Visual System 👀
Our sense of sight, which allows us to perceive color, light, and movement.

Auditory System 👂🏼
Our sense of hearing, crucial for detecting sounds and communicating.

Olfactory (Smell) System 👃
Our sense of smell, which can evoke memories and influence taste.

Gustatory (Taste) System 👅
Our sense of taste, helping us enjoy and discern different flavours.

Tactile (Touch) System 🖐
Our sense of touch, essential for feeling textures, temperatures, and pain.

And the three often forgotten senses…

Vestibular System (The 'Movement' Sense) 🤸🏻‍♂️
This sense helps us maintain balance and understand our body's position in space.

Proprioception System (The Brain/Body Connection) 🏓
This sense gives us awareness of our body's position and movement, even without looking.

Interoception System (The 'Inside/Feeling' Sense) 🧠
This sense helps us understand internal body signals like hunger, thirst, and the need to use the bathroom.
